PATRICK STACK

Biography

Patrick Stack (Producer) began his career in show business as an actor and a Stand-Up Comedian. He has appeared in such films as RAMBO: FIRST BLOOD, creating the role of Clinton Morgan, the hapless National Guard Leader who “had to be back at the drugstore on Monday”. He also appeared in F/X starring Brian Dennehy, THE LAST OF THE FINEST, starring Brian Dennehy, JACK REED: DRESSED TO KILL, starring Brian Dennehy (see a pattern here?). He appeared in such television shows as “Cheers”, “Dynasty”, “Greatest American Hero”, “Simon & Simon”, “Trapper John, MD.”, “Hunter”, “Golden Girls”, “It’s a Living” and had a recurring role on “Search for Tomorrow”.

In addition to performing with the LA based Imrov troupe The Groundlings, Stack partnered with Nathan Lane for seven years and appeared around the country as the comedy team of “Stack & Lane”. They received top billing in Clubs such as The Copacabana, The Playboy Club Circuit and The Duplex in NYC. In addition to performing extensively in NY and LA, they toured as the opening act for Al Jareau, Air Supply, Michael Franks and The Letterman. They also appeared on talk shows such as Merv Griffin, Tom Snyder, Mike Douglas, and Norm Crosby. Patrick Stack and Nathan Lane remain friends today.

In 2002, Stack decided to try his hand at producing Motion Pictures and Television Shows. He quickly pulled together a team and produced the award winning short “Hiding In Walls”. The short soon became a calling card for his new production company, Out of Pocket Films, Inc. In January of 2004, Stack moved the company to it's current offices on the Sony Pictures Studios lot.

Stack's appreciation for the creative process has made Out of Pocket Films a company where new screenwriters with a fresh perspective can help in developing future feature film and television projects based on original ideas.

Patrick lives in Manhattan Beach and shares his home with his two daughters, Emma and Winnie, and one ridiculously over excited mutt named Sweet Pea.
