Out of Pocket Films was founded in 2002 when a few friends got together and decided to make a short film. The crack comedy team assembled consisted of Producer Patrick Stack, a graduate of The Groundlings, the famous LA based improv troupe, and Writer / Directors Bob Hilgenberg and Rob Muir. The HD film entitled Hiding in Walls starring Johnny Sneed, Chris Moynihan, Jane Lynch, and Danny Trejo, took top honors for best overall short, as well as best comedic short, at the 2003 HDfest. It also received honorable mention at the Denver Starz Festival. With the momentum of the short film still going strong, Patrick Stack decided to take Out of Pocket Films to the next level.

Out of Pocket Films is located at Sony Pictures Studios and produces Independent Feature Films and Television Shows. It is run by President and Producer Patrick Stack.
